Kay Gonzales is a photographer and director based in Spokane, Washington, with over a decade of experience creating cinematic, story-driven imagery.
She was drawn to photography through a desire to capture feeling - moments that feel honest, immersive, and a little bit larger than life. That instinct continues to shape her work today, blending raw emotion with a strong visual style that feels both intentional and atmospheric.
Kay’s mission is to document meaningful moments while forming natural connections with the people she photographs. That sense of trust allows her to capture images that feel unguarded, intimate, and real; rooted in genuine human interaction rather than performance. She uses these fleeting moments of connection as the foundation for work that feels deeply personal while remaining visually striking.
Her work spans portrait, fashion, and music photography, collaborating with artists, models, and brands to create imagery that feels distinct and true to each subject. Whether shooting a live performance, developing a concept, or working on a commercial project, Kay approaches each session with a balance of intuition and direction, creating space for authenticity while shaping a clear visual outcome.
Over the years, she has worked with a wide range of talent, from emerging creatives to established artists, helping shape visual identities and create images that leave a lasting impression.
In addition to her independent work, Kay is the lead content creator for AFFILI8D, a music label centered around pushing creative boundaries through sound, visuals, and culture.
At the core of her work is a simple goal: to create images that feel real, intentional, and impossible to ignore.
